Jonathan Betts
Jonathan was born and raised in Arizona, moving to the PNW with his family in his early teens. From a young age he has always had a true passion for the culinary world and a strong desire to share it with others. Jonathan studied culinary arts in Cascadia Tech and then went on to hone his skills with real kitchen experience over the last 20 years. He has managed many kitchens and went on to own his own restaurant called Manila Bay Cafe in Dayton WA, for 5 years.
He believes food should be about creating an experience, sharing the things we enjoy with the people we love. Jonathan loves to share his experience and his love for this industry with his family and friends. With Brunch’d, Jon is hoping to take the memories of Sunday breakfast with his family and the comfort foods associated with it, and share that experience with customers in a fun, new way you’ve not had before. Brunch’d uses only the freshest ingredients, locally sourcing as much as possible to continue to grow the community around them. Together, he and his wife hope to bring something new, fun and delicious to the PNW.
Isabel Betts
Isabel was born in Guatemala, then adopted and raised in Eastern Washington for her entire childhood. Her interests in the culinary world grew due to her father’s love for cooking and his desire to teach her. Growing up a logger’s daughter, she learned from a young age how to make meals to feed large groups of hungry loggers and farmers. She started her first job in food service at the age of 14 , and quickly learned passion for serving people, and the joy of being a part of important milestones in perfect stranger’s lives. She has continued in food service for the last 10 years and has enjoyed sharing that passion with her husband and children. Isabel developed a joy and skill for baking, and started her own baking / cake business during Covid. Her favorite way to spend her time is experimenting in the kitchen with her 3 children as designated tasters. Together with her husband, Isabel looks forward to sharing her love for all things baked and combining them with classic brunch items to create a truly unique experience.
